Mutton Curry or Lamb Curry

How to make Mutton Curry or Lamb Curry

Servers : 4 persons

Ingridients:

  1. Lamb Meat or Goat Meat - 500 grams.
  2. Oil - 1 tablespoons.
  3. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp.
  4. Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
  5. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp.
  6. Coconut powder - 1 tbsp.
  7. Cardamom - 4.
  8. Clove - 4.
  9. Cinnamon stick - 4.
  10. Black cumin seeds - 1 tsp.
  11. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp.
  12. Coriander powder - 2 tbsp.
  13. Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
  14. Chopped onion - 2 small.
  15. Cumin powder - 1 tablespoons.
  16. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
  17. Green chillies - 2 numbers.
  18.  Salt - 1 to taste.

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add whole garam masala spices (cinnamon, green cardamom, cloves), cumin seeds, and chopped onion. Cook till they are slightly brown at the edges.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, when cooked, add cleaned lamb pieces and cook for some time.
  • Then add chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and mix. Cook for 20-30 minutes till lamb is 90%cooked (You can also cook lamb in a pressure cooker).
  • Add green chillies, coconut powder, and pepper powder and cook for another 10 minutes till the sauce is thickened.
  • Serve hot with rice, roti or naan by sprinkling coriander leaves on top.
